Local clay, slow drying, a single firing.
The studio sits at the edge of town where the red clay starts. Everything is made from earth dug within a day’s walk, slaked, sieved and aged for a season before it is touched.
The firing
Each piece is fired once, in a kiln that burns wood for the first hours and gas for the last. The flame leaves marks; they are the signature.
